Passion for Gold Begins

Our love affair with Golden Retrievers started on Sunday, July 13, 1997. The day that we brought Maui into our lives. His intelligence, devotion, and unconditional love that he brought to our family was incredible. We knew he was exceptional and wanted to share him with as many people as possible. We trained him as a therapy dog through the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. He lived a service life, bringing joy and abundant love to everyone around him. Maui lived a fantastic life and passed away on March 2, 2011, just one month short of his 14th birthday. We were fortunate to have him for that long since the average lifespan is only 10-12 years. In those early years, we were ignorant of the devastating effects of hip dysplasia, which plagued Maui for the last year of his life. Ultimately, he couldn't even get up and required assistance to lift him on his hind legs. He could only take a few steps before falling back into a sitting position. He would always look at us with his beautiful sugar face and pain in his eyes, asking us to help him up. Maui's life sparked our lifelong passion for this fantastic breed. 

Fast forward to 2017, we lost another one of our amazing goldens - Malibu. We were fortunate again, and she lived to the ripe old age of almost 14. Shortly after Malibu's passing, we decided to start breeding Golden Retrievers. After 20 years of enjoying the best breed on this planet, we learned a lot and established a solid foundation of knowledge and passion to start this new journey.
